An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, flexible individual to work within the Economic Development and Property Division, Place, Infrastructure & Economic Development Department.
We are looking for an individual with great communication skills who is enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated, who can adapt well to changing situations whilst continuously delivering high quality services and maintaining excellent customer care.
You should have a positive attitude, energy, adaptability, and strong organisational skills to make a meaningful impact in supporting the management and development of Carmarthen Provisions Market and the delivery of all casual markets operated in Carmarthen Town Centre.
The Market Assistant at Carmarthen Market will have responsibility for
- opening and closing premises including the setting and deactivating of alarm systems.
- managing the safe disposal of trade waste including the use of machinery
- cleanliness of the Market hall, Market Precinct and toilet facilities. This will include the use of a cleaning machine and Equipment
- maintaining administrative records
- maintaining effective working relationships with traders including dealing with enquiries from tenants, the public, and other stakeholders
- Supporting with the delivery of casual market events delivered in Carmarthen, including trader registration and adherence to policies
- Supporting with the safe operation of the market premises in accordance with fire safety measures, including the regular testing of alarms/systems.
Underpinning this is the trust and relationship you will build with the market team and Assistant Market Manager.
