The role:
To assist in ensuring the health, safety and welfare of staff, students, visitors and contractors in accordance with current Health and Safety best practices, relevant legislation and Codes of Practice.
- Full Time (37 hours per week)
- Permanent
- £40,413 - £47,537 per annum
- Across all campuses (Swansea)
- Support with the development and implementation of new policies and procedures as required.
- Manage the College Health and Safety Management system ensuring compliance with standards and accreditation is maintained.
- Assist in the operation of the college Internal Health and Safety audits and the inspection program with Learning Area managers.
- To provide on-ground support across all campuses.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or relevant level 4 Health & Safety Qualification.
- Previous experience of working within Health and Safety role
- Sound written communication skills (e.g. report writing).
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to enable effective contribution to strategic thinking.
- 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the college is closed for two weeks over the Christmas period
