The Governing Body wish to appoint a Supervisory Assistant to work at Ffynnon Taf Primary School. This will be a good opportunity for someone seeking a part-time role, supervising and caring for pupils during the lunchtime period. Applicants will need to contribute to the provision of a safe and stimulating play environment and oversee the safety, welfare and good conduct of the pupils, in accordance with the practices and procedures of our school.

As a Supervisory Assistant, you will:

• Supervise pupils whilst eating and support pupils with any dietary needs
• Supervise pupils playing indoors and outdoors
• Ensure pupils are safe and their wellbeing is supported
• Respond appropriately to any incidents that may occur during the lunchtime
• Support the school’s Rights Respecting ethos and language of rights and respect around the school to support positive relationships
• Work collaboratively with the school team to ensure school policies and procedures are implemented effectively

We are looking for someone who has:

• An ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with children and adults
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• An ability to use basic Welsh language skills
