TSW Training
The successful candidate will hold a PGCE/Cert Ed, Essential Skills Practitioner and an IQA (or equivalent) qualification.
Reporting to the Work Based Learning Director the key duties and responsibilities are:
Management Duties
• Manage a team of tutors and IQA’s to ensure operational performance is in-line with company performance targets.
• Monitor learner achievement ensuring results are meeting TSW and Welsh Government performance targets.
• Review performance and undertake relevant action to address under performance/non-compliance with tutors and IQA’s.
• Produce monthly report to TSW Operations Group on performance of route.
• Manage SV visits and inspections.
• Ensure compliance of Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Prevent procedures.
• Ensure all team members undertake training to satisfy CPD requirements.
• Participate in Lead IQA meetings.
• Chair standardisation meetings.
• Participate in monthly team company meetings.
• Participate in the self assessment process.
• Support implementation of the Quality Development Plan.
• Ensure full compliance of Peer Observation Strategy for team.
• Participate in Best Practice/Task and Finish Groups as directed by your line manager.
Delivery Duties
• Carry out initial assessments and diagnostic testing.
• Contribute to the identification of barriers and assist learners in overcoming these barriers
• Delivery of induction training on entry to programme.
• Preparation and delivery of literacy, numeracy and digital literacy training sessions within workshops or one to one, to achieve qualifications within the learners individual learning plan (ILP)
• Carry out all preparation and marking associated with teaching and assessment responsibilities.
• Fully engage learners and employers in the learning process
• Maintain quality standards as defined by internal and external assurers
• Maintain accurate, up to date records of all assessment activities
