WHAT IS A WORK-BASED LEARNING MANAGER?
As work-based learning managers, we are highly innovative and experienced in employer engagement, we understand the strategic needs of the workforce in Wales within our chosen subject area. We put our hearts into everything we do by promoting high expectations for both staff and students in all aspects of work-based learning.
We are specialists in our sector, because we care about what we do. We oversee existing programmes of work-based learning and apprenticeship opportunities. We're skilled in employer engagement, with a strategic approach to meeting the needs of the Welsh economy and leading on the development and implementation of new initiatives to inspire lifelong learning. Contract management is a key part of our job as is working collaboratively with a wide range of people across schools, colleges, employers and training providers.
We are there every step of the way. We closely monitor the quality of work-based learning and apprenticeship programmes at every point of the process to ensure they meet the needs of all learners.
Because we are passionate about what we do, we take full responsibility for the quality of work-based learning and apprenticeship opportunities we provide. We are always looking for better ways to connect with employers and improve the quality and performance of our programmes so we can improve the outcomes.
