WHAT IS A CLERICAL ASSISTANT?


We support with day-to-day administrative and IT tasks, providing course information and helping adult learners feel at ease during enrolment.  

This is an important role in helping adult learners start their journey back in to education. Therefore, we are empathetic and patient when dealing with potential new learners, aware that our interactions can influence the decision of those who are nervous about accessing education.  

Our day-to-day comprises being the first point of contact for potential enquiries, taking payments, ensuring enrolment forms are completed accurately, and providing social media and website content updates when required. We enjoy the comradery of working as part of a team, providing an extra helping hand when working to deadlines.

THE QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED

  • Qualified to at least Level 2 in a relevant vocational qualification.
  • Ability to use MS Office Applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
     
DESIRABLE SKILLS
  • Good use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience handling payments and processing invoices
  • Customer service skills dealing with the public
  • Understanding of data protection and GDPR requirements 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Empathy with learners
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Knowledge of the adult learning sector
  • Good communication skills
