Job description
The Governing Body of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a strong, dynamic, and inspirational Headteacher to further the achievements of this welcoming and caring school with a strong Catholic ethos.

 

St Mary’s provides exciting and meaningful learning for 259 pupils aged 3-11. The school benefits from an excellent outdoor learning environment and very strong links to the local parish. It is a place where children are developed in body, mind, and spirit. Throughout the school experienced and supportive teaching staff provide exciting and meaningful learning experiences and they have the highest expectations of themselves and of each child from Nursery to Year 6.

 

We are seeking to appoint an individual who will ensure that all pupils and staff are able to fulfil their potential within a caring and supportive Catholic community.

Is a committed practising Catholic, with a distinct vision of Catholic education in Wales in the 21st Century, who will cherish and support the Catholic ethos of our school.

 

Has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, motivate and inspire all of our children and colleagues.

 

Will continue to raise aspirations, standards, and achievements for all of our children.

Has proven leadership skills and is a strategic thinker, with a vision to introduce new ideas along with the ability to identify and sustain long term improvement through supporting, inspiring and challenging staff.

 

Is committed to the further development of the partnership with the parish, parents, and the wider community through taking an active role in the life and mission of the school.

 

An outstanding primary classroom practitioner.

 

A strategic thinker who can develop and articulate an innovative, strategic vision for the school effectiveness, inclusion, and wellbeing mindful of the impact of these on pupil outcomes.
