We are looking for an inspirational Progression Leader to join the LiFE Faculty. We want someone who can help us shape our brand new All Age School – Ysgol Afon Wen. Located in Hawthorn, a village on the outskirts of Cardiff, the new All Age 3-16 school is (currently under construction) set in beautiful grounds on the bank of the River Taff and is due to open September 2024.

Ysgol Afon Wen will ensure every pupil succeeds irrelevant of age, ability, and background.

We are thrilled to announce a unique and rewarding opportunity to join our dynamic team as an Wellbeing for pupils ranging from 3-16. Do you have what it takes to shape our care support and guidance provision?

The Progression Leader will be accountable for securing high-quality teaching and learning to maximise pupil progress, achievement and attainment within their specified frameworks. The post-holder will lead the design of an innovative, engaging and relevant skills curriculum within their faculty and collaborate with colleagues within and beyond their faculty to ensure the skills framework is embedded across the school. Progression leaders will ensure skills lessons promote effective behaviour for learning practice exists, in-line with school procedures. They are responsible for delivering professional learning of the relevant skills framework, and progression steps for Wellbeing and Relationship education.
