We have an exciting opportunity to join our passionate and enthusiastic team at Bridgend College contributing to the education and development of the next generation of technical theatre professionals. As an Hourly Paid Lecturer, you will plan, develop, evaluate and deliver engaging and innovative instruction across various technical theatre disciplines, providing mentorship to inspire the next generation of technical theatre professionals.

You should have an excellent working industry knowledge of production arts/backstage production, with strong knowledge and experience in technical theatre including (but not limited to) lighting design and operation, sound design and operation, video and projection, rigging and production or stage management. You should have a clear knowledge of the local and national industry, with active connections within the theatre and live events industry would be advantageous. Experience of working with young people and/or a PGCE certificate (or a willingness to work towards one) is essential. With excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide and diverse student population you will be passionate about motivating all learners to be well-prepared for successful careers in theatre and live events industries.
