Sport Lecturer - Fixed Term Contract until May 2025

Cardiff and Vale College
An exciting vacancy is available as a Sport Lecturer in the Sport, Tourism & Public Services department at Cardiff and the Vale College. This post will be based across campuses.

Responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking of all pedagogic work such as classroom teaching, tutorial work associated with outreach, residential and open and distance learning courses and student placements;
  • Undertaking all organisational and administrative work associated with the above, preparation and marking;
  • Undertaking appropriate student welfare and academic or non-academic counselling responsibilities;
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking of student progress and entitlement to learning support provision;
  • Act as a Course Tutor for a designated level from Level 1 through to Level 3.
  • Undertaking such other duties as may be reasonably required of you commensurate with your grade; at your initial place of work or at other locations in the College catchment area;
  • Designing teaching material and deliver on all Sport courses from Level 1 to Higher Education provision.
  • Supervising projects, field trips and placements, where appropriate;
  • Welsh language skills are not essential but would be desirable for this role.
