Required for as soon as possible a full time temporary excellent data and exams manager, based at Ysgol Glan-y-Mor School, to support and manage the school data systems and examination series' for this calendar year, until March 2026 initially.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in our school. Reporting to a member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient input/extraction, calculation, analysis and assessment of pupil data on SIMS and other packages. They will also be responsible for the effective administration of all internal examinations and statutory tests for both Key Stages 3 & 4 in accordance with the regulations of awarding bodies.

This key role supports the school in striving to raise standards of teaching and learning. The post includes responsibility for organisation and administration of all aspects of the school's external and internal examination processes and will need a flexible approach to working hours at times, as the workload changes across the academic year.

This is an important and challenging role which involves close interaction with pupils, teaching staff, the Senior Leadership Team and managing a team of invigilators. You must have a high standard of literacy, numeracy and communication skills, as well as excellent understanding of IT systems. Familiarity with SIMS would be an advantage. The role may offer the opportunity for some hybrid/remote working, through reasonable planning and negotiation, when tasks are appropriate.

Glan-y-Môr and Bryngwyn School are part of a federation that strives to develop excellent standards and opportunities for all its pupils. In this context, the successful candidate would be expected to work collaboratively and closely with colleagues across the federation and could be based in either school. It is expected that the post holder will work two weeks of the summer holiday, to coincide with the release of the external examinations results.
