Work base: Nant BH and Pentrellyncymer Outdoor Education Centres• Are you over 18 and interested in a career in Outdoor Education?
• Do you enjoy the challenge of working with young people?
• Do you already have an interest in one or more outdoor activities?
If so, a year's Trainee Instructor placement at Nant BH or Pentrellyncymer Outdoor Education Centres could be just the opportunity you need to take the first steps in your career.
Beginning in March 2025 we are looking to appoint trainee instructors to work alongside our experienced outdoor staff teams in both centres. We'll ensure you receive National Governing Body Award training and / or assessment in relevant activities, along with guidance to improve your skills and work towards accreditation for RPIOL. At the end of the year you will have gained essential experience working with a variety of groups, have a good knowledge of venues in North Wales and will be on a clear pathway to future employment opportunities.
During the year we will provide you with cottage accommodation, food, a small monthly income, and most school holidays off. If you have gained enough experience and qualifications then there is the potential opportunity to work as a paid instructor at the Centres towards the end of the year. In return we'll expect you to act in a professional manner and to take every opportunity to make the most of your year.
