We have an exciting opportunity to join our passionate and enthusiastic team at Bridgend College as a Lecturer in Therapeutic Counselling. This role will allow you to support and inspire the next generation of counselling professionals through high-quality teaching, mentorship, and academic guidance. You will contribute to the delivery of our counselling programmes, including Level 4 and Level 5 Diplomas, ensuring that students develop the practical skills, theoretical understanding, and self-awareness needed for professional practice. You will also be a registered/accredited member of a professional body such as the BACP, UKCP, National Counselling Society etc and have current practice experience.
You will plan and deliver engaging sessions, assess learner progress, and support individual development in both academic and professional contexts. You will hold a recognised qualification in therapeutic counselling (minimum Level 6) and be a member of a professional body such as the BACP, UKCP, National Counselling Society etc and have current practice experience. Experience of working with young people and/or a PGCE certificate (or a willingness to work towards one) is essential. With excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide and diverse student population you will be passionate about motivating all learners to be well-prepared for successful counselling careers in professional practice.
