The Governing Body of Ysgol Bryn Castell Special School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and caring Cover Supervisor to work in a highly motivated and friendly teaching team, to cover a secondment of up to twelve months. The successful candidate will use a positive, innovative, solution-focussed approach to promote the learning, engagement, attendance, and wellbeing of pupils, supporting them to work towards achieving self-regulation and independence.
Ysgol Bryn Castell (YBC) is a community day special school maintained by Bridgend County Borough Council which provides education for pupils aged 7 to 19 years old with complex Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD) including Autism alongside specific learning difficulties and other additional learning needs (ALN).
Applications would be welcomed from colleagues who are passionate about enabling every young person to achieve their full potential, who have experience of working with ALN, and who have good knowledge and understanding of the curriculum, including effective learning strategies for pupils with ALN, and who are looking to further their professional learning journey in an inclusive, caring environment.
