What You'll Be Responsible For
As School Business Manager, you'll play a critical leadership role across the entire school operation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Leadership: Leading all business and administrative operations in line with the school's vision and strategic plan.
- Finance & Budgeting: Managing the school's finances, including budget planning, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting-ensuring value for money and financial sustainability.
- Human Resources: Supporting staff recruitment, retention, and development, in line with best HR practice and employment legislation.
- Facilities Management: Overseeing the school site, premises, and contracts-ensuring safety, compliance, and long-term planning for improvements and efficiency.
- Governance: Acting as Clerk to the Governing Body, ensuring strong support and robust governance procedures.
- Compliance & Risk: Taking the lead on Health & Safety, GDPR, data protection, and risk assessments, embedding a culture of accountability and safety.
- Project & Systems Management: Leading on project planning, MIS systems, asset management, and income generation, including fundraising and lettings.
- Collaboration & Communication: Working closely with the Headteacher, the Local Authority, and external partners to develop and maintain effective systems and partnerships.
