25 hours per week / 39 weeks per year including INSET days - Part time (pro-rata) Permanent
(Holidays must be taken during school closure periods).

There is flexibility on times worked that can be negotiated with the right candidate, ideally the hours would be 9.00 am - 2.30pm.

Newport Nursery School are looking to appoint a school support officer to join the highly committed team.

You must be digitally competent and enjoy working with people in a busy and fast paced environment.

Experience of working in a school admin team would be beneficial with knowledge of using systems such as SIMS, CIA and Itrent etc however full training will be given so this is not essential.

It is essential for the school support office to have a friendly approach but also who can be empathetic and understanding in order to work effectively with parents.

Part of the role will involve completing first day response phonecalls for pupils who are not in school that day. A good telephone manner is essential in order to effectively liaise with parents to update the attendance records accurately.
