We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre / Dance) to join our vibrant department. The ideal candidate will specialise in jazz, tap, and ballet techniques and demonstrate versatility across a variety of styles. You will bring professional experience in choreography, performance, and teaching. A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE) or a willingness to gain one is required, along with a strong understanding of industry standards, audition preparation, and performance techniques.
You will deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons across a range of abilities, supporting students' development in dance, acting through song, ensemble work, and performance projects. Your ability to motivate and mentor learners, work collaboratively, and foster an inclusive environment will be key to student success.
In addition to teaching, you will contribute to curriculum development, assessments, and extra-curricular activities including productions, rehearsals, and showcases, supporting our department's strong reputation for preparing students for the performing arts industry.
