Attendance Support Assistant

We are looking for a motivated individual with good interpersonal skills who enjoys working with young people and helping overcome difficulties at school and barriers to school attendance.
The post relies upon the ability to build relationships with learners whilst having a sound understanding of the issues which cause persistent absenteeism. The work will involve both one to one and group work.

The post holder will also complete home visits and escorts in order to help families to improve their children's school attendance. The ability to work as part of a team and to communicate with various professionals within school and partner agencies is key. The Local Authority is committed to promoting the wellbeing of its children and families.

Due to the nature of the post the successful candidate will be subject to a disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service
