Careers Wales
Are you looking for a job where you inspire and support people to think about their future career? Do you have excellent customer service skills? If so, we are looking for flexible and effective communicators who are equally at home communicating with customers verbally face-to-face or using digital communication (telephone, webchat and social media) to provide information and advice to our customers.

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd (CCDG) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Welsh Government. We deliver a remit set by Welsh Ministers and provide the all-age, independent, impartial and bilingual Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) service in Wales.

Attractive employment benefits including flexi time, 30 days annual leave, contributory pension scheme and health related cash back plan.

The successful applicant will be working with a varied client group including young people in their final year of education who want to move on to work or training, parents, adults who are unemployed and seeking support to enter the workplace, and people in work who are looking for a career change.
Our Employability Coaches

• support and inspire their clients to secure the best possible career available for them;
• provide information and advice to support clients to manage their careers;
• provide employability support (help with CVs, Job Searching activities etc) to those seeking to return to work or to change jobs;
• help clients achieve sustained positive outcomes (education, training, employment).

Employability Coaches should be educated to NVQ 3 standard or equivalent, ideally in a related area e.g. advice and guidance or have experience of working at this level. If you do not already have an NVQ 3, we will provide you with the training and support you need to achieve this valuable qualification.

The successful applicant will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

No job applicant will receive a less favourable treatment on the grounds of age, disability, gender and transgender status, race and ethnicity, religion and belief (including no belief), marriage or civil partnership status, economic status or sexual orientation.

We aim to promote an environment that is free from all forms of discrimination, and that treats people fairly with dignity and respect. This commitment starts at recruitment and is carried through all or employment practices, and ultimately to our work – supporting and improving the lives of the people of Wales.
