Positive Behaviour Support Lead - Schools’ Improvement Officer

Grade: Soulbury 4 - 7 plus SPA points
Wrexham Local Authority wishes to appoint an experienced, dedicated and passionate Positive Behaviour Support practitioner to join the Inclusion service. This is a new opportunity for someone who wishes to support children and young people to achieve their full potential and achieve their aspirations. The successful candidate will have lead responsibility for championing Positive Behaviour Support across the Local Authority. The role involves direct assessment, work with schools, staff teams and developing service wide protocols and procedures. The role will operate at a strategic, support and operational level as outlined in Keeping Learners Safe.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have an appropriate post graduate qualification in a relevant field.
• Be an experienced professional in this field
• Have knowledge of education system
• Have knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures
• Have knowledge of trauma informed practice and its effective implementation
• Have experience of working at a strategic level, developing policies and procedures
• Have experience of working in a collaborative manner with other agencies/schools/families and children/young people
• Be an excellent communicator
This is a unique role and an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing and implementing an organisational approach to positive behaviour.
