Rogerstone Community Primary School has a vacancy for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant in the school’s Learning Resource Bases. The post will commence on 01.09.23.
Our Resource Bases cater for children with complex additional needs. We have 3 classes of 10 children with a high adult to pupil ratio.
You will provide support for the class teacher, support for pupils, support for the curriculum and support for the school (as per Level 2 Job description).
The excellent practitioner will have:
- Experience of working with children with complex additional learning needs
- High expectations for pupils to make progress
- Enthusiasm and a commitment to professional development
- Dedication to the inclusion of all pupils
- A high level of organisational skills, including the ability to work as part of a team
- Proven experience of commitment to the wider life of the school.

The positions are offered as follows:
32 ½ hours per week, for 39 weeks of the year (term time only). You will be required to work 8.30 – 3.15, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 8.30 – 4.30 Wednesday for staff meetings.
THIS POST REQUIRES YOU TO BE REGISTERED WITH THE EWC.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
