About the role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Cover Supervisor who will be responsible for providing high quality supervision for students during lessons when a member of staff is absent. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a very busy environment, using their own initiative whilst working alongside staff and students to ensure that all lessons are of a high standard. The role is an ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to gain further experience in a school environment as part of their career development.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work fluently in Welsh.
Ysgol Gyfun Aberaeron is a bilingual school with up to 600 pupils at the school which also has a successful 6 th form. During a visit by Estyn in 2023, they noted that 'pupils' well-being is a very high priority and a strong emphasis is placed on supporting pupils to ensure that they are happy and thrive academically.'
