Various roles available:
Instrumental Music Instructor - Upper Strings
Full-Time 32.5 hours
Instrumental Music Instructor - Lower Strings
4 days – 26 hours
Instrumental Music Instructor – Vocal and Piano
4 days – 26 hours
Instrumental Music Instructor – ‘First Experiences’ (x5)
1 day – 6.5 hours
Each ‘First Experiences’ post is to cover one or more areas listed:
Brass
Strings
Woodwind
Percussion / Samba
Guitar / Ukulele
Vocal studies
Primary School Curriculum Support
Bridgend Music Service are seeking to appoint multiple Music Instructors in various roles to join our dedicated group of teachers keen to promote instrumental music making in schools in the borough.
You will be required to teach at a combination of primary and comprehensive schools within the authority in the following settings: individual, small group, large group and / or whole class ‘First Experiences’ sessions under the direction of the Head of Music – Expressive Arts.
Successful candidates will be well qualified and enthusiastic, with experience as a performer / teacher. A good working knowledge of relevant solo and ensemble repertoire is essential.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
Criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
