Fixed-term from 1 st September until Wednesday 21 st December 2023 (23.5 hours)

Working pattern: Monday and Tuesday all day. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings

Buttington Trewern CP Primary School is a popular school with a caring and community spirited ethos. We are looking for an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 class teacher to join our committed team of staff and governors whilst a member of staff completes Welsh Sabbatical training during the Autumn Term.

This role is funded with supply money from Welsh Government and that is why the contract finishes on Wednesday 21 st December 2023.

Our new member of teaching staff will:

• have excellent knowledge and understanding of skills development and pedagogy of a Curriculum for Wales
• be an excellent classroom practitioner who inspires and encourages children to reach their full potential through high quality teaching and learning experiences and regular feedback
• have the enthusiasm energy and ability to motivate, challenge and support others
• demonstrate excellent communication skills to work effectively in partnership with staff, parents, governors and the local community
• have high expectations of achievement and a commitment to raising standards
• demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively as an effective team member
• be adaptable, resourceful and innovative
• promote language development including Welsh and pupils' understanding of Wales, its heritage and culture
• use Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Competency skills to drive the curriculum
