4 x 32 hour positions
1 x 20 hour positions
1 x 37 hour Maternity Cover
Flying Start is a Welsh Government initiative, which seeks to target support for pre-school children and their families within specific areas, and deliver specific outcomes for children. Flying Start offers identified children access to high quality childcare as part of a multi-agency team approach
Working within the Flying Start childcare setting, you will work with 2-3 year old children, helping them to develop, learn and play, providing a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for Flying Start children.
Within the childcare team you will liaise regularly with various members of the
multi-agency team within Flying Start, including the FS Advisory Teacher, Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapists and Health Visitors. Within this role you will require experience of working in childcare settings and an effective understanding of child development
In this role, you will work across the Flying Start programme.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
Criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.
The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
