32.33 hours plus sleep ins
Term Time Only
Temporary up to 1 year
Heronsbridge School is a maintained special school for children with severe learning difficulties aged 3 – 19.
The governors are seeking to appoint a dedicated individual with patience and energy to work in our residential houses with children and young adults with autism.
An NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and experience of working with children is essential.
The job is 4 nights a week, term time only.
The successful candidate will work to a set 3 week rota as following:-
Week 1 4 evenings Monday to Thursday sleeping in once a week
Week 2 4 evenings Monday to Thursday sleeping in once a week
Week 3 4 awake shifts Monday to Thursday
Hours are:- 3.15pm to 10.00pm evenings
7.30am to 9.00am mornings (after sleep in)
10.00pm to 9.00am awake shifts
Evening shifts include ½ hr unpaid break.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
Criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
