Boost Reading Motivation in your Primary School: A Professional Learning Opportunity
This autumn term the Love Reading Project is offering a free online professional learning programme to support teachers to boost reading engagement and motivation in primary schools. Love Reading is funded by the Welsh Government and delivered by Cardiff University in partnership with Bangor University.

What is it?
Seeing the World Through a Reading Lens, the main Love Reading online training workshop, will help participants to develop their knowledge of, and practical strategies for, fostering reading motivation and engagement amongst learners in years 4-6. There will be a core session for teachers and school practitioners, and a core session aimed at senior leaders.
Taking part in the core session will give participants access to the Love Reading Learning Menu on Hwb, which includes further optional sessions and self-guided learning resources which can be used in the classroom.
Is the professional learning programme bilingual?
The programme is available in Welsh and in English – different dates are on offer for each language.
Who is it for?
The learning programme is free to access for all primary school teaching staff in Wales, including teachers, teaching assistants and school leaders.

You can book your space on one of the available core sessions using this link. Once you’ve completed the core workshop, you will then have access to the full Love Reading Learning Menu.
