WHAT IS A VOLUNTEER YOUTH WORKER?

We volunteer our time to support young people in developing their skills whilst having fun.

We provide young people with a safe space to take part in activities and projects which can increase their confidence so they can use their voices to make a difference in the local community.

We link with other volunteers and paid staff within the youth service in Wales to provide quality youth work activities and services for our young people.

But more than that, we ensure that young people feel like they are part of their local community by ensuring that every community understands the important work that we do. 

Volunteering allows us to further our understanding, skills and experience of youth work and can lead to further opportunities and roles within the sector. But ultimately, we volunteer because we care about young people and want to support them so they can achieve their ambitions.
