With a strong quality profile, we are committed to ensuring that our learners leave us with the skills and knowledge to progress to further study or directly into employment in their chosen field.
Our teacher training programmes have been running for over 25 years. In that time they have allowed many people to gain a recognised teaching qualification enabling them to progress in their careers as well as attracting many individuals who are looking for a change of career.
Our experienced lecturers ensure our students build the knowledge, skills and confidence to be able to teach in a wide range of post-16 settings while our award-winning support team are here to provide a smooth transition back into learning.
Validated by the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, learners on the PGCE/PCE programme graduate each year in the majestic St Davids Cathedral.
Advice & Guidance
The Advice and Guidance qualifications have been designed to provide the necessary skills for those working or wishing to work in this industry. The qualifications provide the knowledge required to work with legislative and procedural frameworks, understanding and promoting careers education guidance within organisations and working with other services through negotiation, liaison and referral.
This course replaces the PTLLS 6302 and provides an entry point and introduction for those who are new to teaching and training as well as those who are looking to enter the profession.
This course prepares both graduates and non-graduates for employment within the post-16 teaching/training sector, including further education, private training, nurse education, training in industry and public services (PCET). Please note this qualification is not suitable for teaching in a primary or secondary school setting. The course is validated by the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Graduates will be awarded the Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and non-graduates will be awarded the Professional Certificate in Education (PCE).
Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools
These courses enable learners to develop the knowledge and skills needed when supporting teaching and learning in schools. They cover a wide range of areas including children and young people’s development and supporting those with disabilities or special educational needs.
These qualifications are for people working in, or looking to enter roles in assessment and internal quality assurance. They have been developed by LLUK to replace the Assessor and Verifier (A&V) Units. They are designed for use in England, Wales and Northern Ireland – alternative arrangements exist in Scotland.
The units and qualifications will provide people who carry out assessment and internal quality assurance roles in their organisation with the opportunity to develop and improve their practice as well as achieving a professional qualification for the role.
