About us
The School was established as the first Welsh Medium Secondary school in the Vale in September 2000 and is now a 3-19 school since September 2015 having expanded to 1400 as of September 2021.
The school pupils come from Barry, but also Cowbridge, Penarth and Llantwit Major and all have high standards of self-discipline and respect for members of the school community. The commitment of the Governing Body and all staff to the school's distinctive Welsh ethos and high standards of discipline is a priority here. An extension to the current school site was completed in September 2021 to provide state of the art buildings and facilities including a floodlit 3G pitch, sports hall, Technology block and a suite of teaching and learning classrooms for teaching in the twenty-first century.
