WHAT IS A SUPPLY TEACHER?

As Supply Teachers, we enable colleges and further education settings in Wales to continue delivering world-class teaching every single day, covering for staff absences on a day-to-day or long-term basis to ensure they don’t negatively impact on learner progress and outcomes.

We are a diverse mix of qualified teaching professionals; NQTs and career-changers, skilled teachers and semi-retired professionals. No matter our background or experience, we are always ready to step in and save the day, the month or even the entire year.

The unpredictable nature of our job means we always bring bags of enthusiasm, energy and resources to work. In one week, we could be leading five different classes or be placed in five different colleges or institutions.

In one day, we could be teaching a subject we are familiar with or covering a wide range of subjects that are completely new to us.

This means we are always adaptable, open to change and able to quickly build rapport with learners to deliver high quality lessons that educate, enthuse and inspire.
