Childcare Development Officer

Salary: Grade 6 | £31,537 - £34,434 |

INTERNAL JOB . T his vacancy is only available to Torfaen County Borough Council (TCBC) employees and agency workers currently engaged with TCBC.

The Early Years Team has a great opportunity for a full time Childcare Development Officer to join the Childcare Team. We are looking for a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Officer who will be responsible for supporting all childcare within Torfaen by providing a highly professional service.

The post holder must have a relevant qualification in Level 3 or 4 in Early Years, Childcare or Play work and/ or degree in Early Years Education, Play or Community Development or equivalent experience.

You will need knowledge and understanding of private, voluntary and public sector childcare services and have experience in setting up and developing services in accordance with National Minimum Standards and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW)
