MATERNITY LEAVE IN EARLY YEARS

20 hours per week (includes 5 hours MDSA cover)

Level 1 Teaching assistant 15 hours per week Grade 03 - £7,707 -£7,835 Per Annum

MDSA 5 hours per week Grade 02 - £11.59 per Hour

TERM TIME ONLY WITH NO TERM TIME LEAVE

The Governing body of Acton Park Primary School are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced teaching assistant to work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff to facilitate planned teaching and learning opportunities for our Early Years children.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitate play-based learning opportunities both in and outside of the classroom.
• Assess individual pupil need and differentiate tasks and questioning to promote learning.
• Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
• Support pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs
• Encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all pupils in activities, e.g. during planned integration and unplanned play times
• Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self-reliance
• Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement

This post also includes a daily one-hour role supervising the children over the lunch period.
