The Governors of The School invite serving Headteachers or experienced practitioners holding a NPQH qualification to apply for the role of Headteacher.

The school is located in the heart of the largest social housing development in Wales and serves some of the wards with the highest levels of deprivation. We work closely with the wider community which is supportive. We value our links with the local cluster of schools.

Due to the retirement of the current Headteacher after 17 years, the Governors are now seeking to appoint a highly motivated, visionary Headteacher with excellent leadership skills with the commitment and drive to the maintain high standards and high levels of achievement at the school.

The successful candidate should:
• demonstrate strong and dynamic leadership.
• build on the strengths of our school in collaboration with staff, pupils and parents.
• model and inspire excellent classroom practice across the school and maintain a strong passion for teaching and learning and support the staff in celebrating their successes.
• be a champion for pupils with additional leaning needs.
• motivate, inspire and engage all pupils and staff in the school community.
• possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to nurture positive relationships with all stakeholders.
• develop each child's full potential, ambition, confidence, belief and resilience.
• show a strong commitment to promoting wellbeing and pupil voice.
• maintain and strengthen the links across the community promoting best practice and positive relationships to further develop the school as a whole.
• create an environment which secures positive behaviour, respect, tolerance and diversity for all pupils and promotes high standards of achievement.
• maintain close relationships with the many agencies that support our most disadvantaged families.
• be committed to a nurturing approach that supports all of our pupils and their families in particular those that have additional learning needs.
