Role Title: Progress Coach

Location: Yale

Contract Type: Full time, Fixed Term (End of December 2024)

Salary: £24,590 - £28,477 salary will be based on a salary assessment and experience.

Coleg Cambria are now looking for a Progress Coach to join our team.

As a Progress Coach at Coleg Cambria you will work in collaboration with a team of Progress Coaches, the wider curriculum team and the college support services to ensure that all learners receive the very best learning experience possible. This position will be supporting groups of learners during their weekly timetabled progress sessions and beyond.

You will work with a caseload of learners to help them develop appropriate strategies so that they can remain engaged in learning and help them to become resilient, resourceful, and develop an appetite for success and progression.

Progress Coaches at Coleg Cambria, together with the wider curriculum team, monitor attendance, set targets, liaise with parents and carers and act as the learners advocate when dealing with internal and external agencies. You will also support their wellbeing, promote positive mental health, and help them to make the right life choices.

Essential Requirements
  • Educated to Degree level or Level 3 (for identified subjects) in a relevant subject area
  • It is essential you have strong literacy and numeracy skills at Level 2 or above.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ideally in Google application and using the internet.
  • You will be expected to demonstrate a passion for empowering and enabling young people.
  • It is essential you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong team player, displaying energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment.
  • Understanding of the range of needs of learners in an educational setting
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of coaching and mentoring learners / young people.

Welsh language is desirable for this role
