Headteacher - GROUP 2 ISR L15 - L21

To commence 1 st September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter (pending all safeguarding and recruitment checks)

Applications are invited from dynamic, experienced and suitably qualified teachers for the post of Headteacher of this successful primary school. The school provides education for children between the ages of three and eleven.

The School is located in a rural area north of Caerphilly town, and whilst adopting new technology and understanding the need for change, has a lot of the charm and character of a “local village” school. The School is recognised as a pioneer in many areas and is often asked to share best practice within the Cluster and wider education community, confirming its position as a strong, well run school.

Governors see this as an exciting challenge for an enthusiastic and skilful leader. They are eager to appoint someone who has:

  • A proven record of excellent classroom practice;
  • Outstanding leadership and management skills;
  • Good experience of providing for pupils with significant additional learning needs;
  • A clear vision and high expectations for school improvement;
  • Excellent personal and team building skills;
  • Very good understanding of the skills curriculum and professional learning:
  • A very positive attitude to innovation and change, and;
  • A strong commitment to work closely with governors, parents and the wider community.

The Governors will provide good support for the successful candidate who will demonstrate a strong commitment to working closely with them to provide high quality leadership and the best possible education for children.
