We are recruiting a Childcare Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 31 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed Term Until 28 th February 2025, Part Time, Term Time Only
Location: Various locations across the borough
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Early Years Service.
We pay an attractive salary of £17,316.79 - £19,143.53 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen within Caerphilly County Borough Councils vibrant and high-quality Flying Start Childcare Team. Here we are looking for a Childcare Assistant to cover Maternity Leave on a fixed term contract basis up until 28 th February 2025. The role is part time at 31 hours per week during term time only and located in our Penyrheol, Caerphilly Childcare setting. Due to the nature of this key service, the post holder may occasionally be required to support other Flying Start settings located throughout the Borough.
The Childcare Assistant is part of a childcare team supporting the delivery of high quality childcare provision; establishing effective relationships with parents/carers and children; supporting the monitoring and evaluating of the programme; working with the team to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and standards for registered childcare provision; supporting an inclusive and respectful environment; supporting children with additional and emerging needs; and working with multi agency partners to deliver the programme seamlessly.

- Qualified to Level 2 Children's Care, Play, Learning and Development (CCPLD) (pay grade 4) or Level 3 CCPLD (pay grade 5) in the relevant qualification.
- Familiar with Welsh Government Flying Start Quality Childcare Guidelines.
- Full UK Category B driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to work at various settings across the borough
