Job description
We are recruiting a Sport and Leisure facilities Operative at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 Hours
Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: Centre for Sporting Excellence - Ystrad Mynach

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Sports and Leisure Services Team.

We pay an attractive salary of £23,500 - £23,893 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

As a Sport and Facilities Operative, you will play a pivotal role in the facilitation of sport and leisure participation at both performance and grassroots levels. This position is not just a job; it's a development opportunity tailored for individuals keen on expanding their skill set and making a significant impact.

The right candidate will demonstrate initiative, embrace teamwork, cultivate partnerships, and exhibit the ability to work autonomously. Working within a setting that allows them to collaborate with various stakeholders, proactively establish and nurture partnerships with clubs and organisations and take ownership of tasks and projects with a remit of enhancing the overall sporting experience.

Maintain high standards of health and safety, building hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation to support performance excellence and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will also hold an ability to manage any customer issues and suggestions in accordance with Council Policy and procedure.

For the role, we ask that you have:
  • Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Experience of working in customer focused environments.
