Curriculum Coordinator

A exciting opportunity has arisen for a new curriculum coordinator to join the company. The curriculum coordinator will lead in the development and implementation of digital teaching and learning resources ensuring that the digital learning functions are rich in content, high-quality, efficient, current, learner centric and provide our learners with an excellent learning experience.
Salary Banding: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Base: Cardiff, Penarth Road
Contract type: Permanent, Full time
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:30pm


What are the core responsibilities of this role?

• Oversight and accountability to help shape the learning agenda in the development, quality and compliance of the organisations teaching, training, and learning resources.
• To transform the way we design and deliver new ways of learning
• Based on research and clear articulation of learners needs, identify and implement / facilitate implementation of innovative learning.
• To scope, design and develop resources for qualifications that inspire practitioners and that engage and support learner’s progression.
• Responsible for ensuing opportunities to embed Prevent and British Values, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) is embedded within learning materials, with current and relevant topics to the learner audience.
• Develop learning resources, including the use of digital platforms
• Support the development of learning resources through digital solutions (Virtual Learning Environment) and actively promote the benefits of e-learning solutions with practitioners
• Develop and maintain insight into best practice (pedagogy, assessment methods) at subject level.
• Maintain a deep understanding of teaching, learning and assessment in all subject/s
• Collaborative working relationship and communicate with sector leads, attending standardisation meetings and promoting effective communication across teams and departments.
• Accountable for quality assurance of learning resources and compliance with company branding, standards and document control procedures.
• Accountable for ensuring learning resources meet Award Body standards and learners needs
• Sampling and auditing learning resources, ensuring learning resources are evaluated, effectively and are embedded across the business.
• Though sampling and auditing, ensure the effectiveness of resource application and the impact on learner’s progress towards achievement of qualifications.
• Develop and maintain an in-depth evidence base of learner needs in each subject area through a continuous programme of research / feedback with practitioners, stakeholders, and learners.
• Provide clear reports to the business as required, critically analyse M.I to improve resources when needed.


What skills and experience are we looking for from potential applicants?

• Development of curriculum resources, specifically within higher level apprenticeship qualifications
• Experience of building sustainable relationships with senior managers and colleagues,
• Experience in developing, teaching, training, and learning resources, quality assurance and compliance
• Understands e-learning and blended learning techniques
• Apprenticeship qualifications
• Award body standards
• Understanding or Estyn / Ofsted standards

This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company.

The successful appointment will need to be self-registered with the Education Workforce Council as a Work-Based Learning Practitioner
