The Governing Body and Headteacher at Caerleon Lodge Hill Primary School are seeking to appoint two excellent primary practitioners to take up post from September 2024.

We are looking for an experienced Year 5 / 6 teacher to join us from September 2024, working on a permanent contract.

We are also looking for a class teacher with some experience of Year 5 / 6 to join us in September 2024 for a fixed term of one year in the first instance.

The successful applicants will demonstrate:

• Outstanding classroom practice, with experience of Year 5 and Year 6;

• High expectations of pupil attainment, progress and behaviour;

• The ability to motivate and engage young learners;

• A good knowledge of systems of pastoral care and promoting well-being;

• The ability to work effectively together as members of our strong school team and contribute fully to the life of the school including extra-curricular activities;

• The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with our parents and carers, members of our Governing Body and our wider community;

• Experience of working with children with Additional Learning Needs and be able to manage behaviour well;

• An excellent understanding of the new curriculum and be able to lead an AOLE with another staff member;

• Strong welsh language skills and a commitment to promoting Welsh as a second language.
