Ysgol Y Deri is a local authority day special school maintained by the Vale of Glamorgan
local authority. Currently there are over 475 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 19 years. All pupils have statements of special educational needs for severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, moderate learning difficulties or autistic spectrum disorders.

About the Role
Pay Details: Teachers Mainscale +SEN allowance

Days / Hours per Week: Full Time (Monday- Friday 8.30pm - 3.30pm)

Permanent / Temporary: Permanent

Description:

This is an amazing opportunity for either primary or secondary trained top-quality teachers who already have the skills to adapt their teaching, someone who are prepared and excited to take on something completely different. The successful candidates will be given the support but also freedom to design an engaging curriculum.

Whilst a background in special needs is not essential, a strong understanding of the curriculum, how it might be adapted and how it can be developed to enthuse all learners will be high on the list of requirements.

We offer specialist training and development from our therapy teams in areas such as communication, emotional regulation, attachment & trauma and Positive Behaviour Support.
