Attendance Support Assistant

Work base: Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy, Ysgol Creuddyn

Working in Education Services, to join the team of support responding to the needs of Conwy schools to help raise overall attendance levels in a supportive and collaborative manner.

Attendance Support Assistants (ASA's) will provide practical and emotional support to learners and their parents/carers to enable them to attend school more regularly and successfully engage with school life and the school curriculum.

The ASA will provide advice and support in addressing personal, social/emotional and school issues, working on problem solving skills and improving resilience.

To support parents/carers in gaining insight, skills and strategies to helpfully respond to theirs child's issues around school attendance.

Facilitating individual and group sessions to support learners to re-engage with schools in particular in relation to wellbeing and social inclusion.
