Assistant Headteacher

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic leader. The PRU service is committed to providing high quality education and support to pupils with a range of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, those with illness who cannot attend school or who otherwise would not receive a suitable education.

We require a highly-motivated individual, who is able to demonstrate a strong commitment to the aims, values and ethos of inclusion, with experience of delivering excellent outcomes for pupils with significant individual needs.

Collaborative working is an essential part of this role and the successful candidate will be expected to develop effective internal working relationships with pupils and staff, as well as external partnerships with parents, schools, colleges and a wide range of professionals.

The Assistant Head will:
• Manage and lead a provision / site. Which includes staff, learners and liaison with mainstream settings.
• Lead across the three sites on areas of school provision.
• Promote inclusion of all pupils and their families within the school and wider community.
• Ensure progress and meaningful access to learning across Canolfan Addysg Conwy
• Line managing the Outreach Coordinator.

Due to the nature of the post the successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

It is a requirement that successful candidate will need to register with the Education Workforce Council prior to commencing employment.
