Salary scale: £25,461 - £27,652

Overview of Role

Here at Coleg Cambria we are looking for a Senior Nursery Nurse to join our Toy Box Nursery team based at our Deeside site.

The Toybox Nursery is our on-site nursery which provides full and part time places for the children of both staff and students of the college plus members of the local community. We offer good quality childcare, ensuring that both parents and children enter an environment that is warm and friendly, with care and education of the highest standard.

As Senior Nursery Nurse, you will assist with the long-term planning and provision of the creative, social and educational development of the children, appropriate to their age and needs. Covering for the Supervisor when required, you will assist with the day to day organisation, planning and preparation for meals, activities, rest time, cleaning and laundry whilst showing prospective customer parents around the nursery as and when necessary.

The successful candidate will help to promote the business to the College and the community. They will also assist with the organisation of promotional and fund-raising events. As a Senior Nursery Nurse you will develop and maintain positive contact and build relationships of trust with new and existing parent customers.

We're looking for an individual who is friendly, outgoing and resilient and who will work effectively to the demands of a busy operation.

Essential requirements
  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years' child care experience - including experience with foundation age childen
  • Up to date awareness of relevant legislation and quality standards
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to and awareness of the importance of Safeguarding
  • Able to manage time - own and others

Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
