Job description
We are recruiting 2 Leisure Attendants at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 Hours
Contract Type: 1 Full Time/Permanent, 1 Full Time/ Fixed Term until 31 st March 2025. These posts will include evening and weekend work as part of the 3-week rota.
Location: Newbridge Leisure Centre

We pay an attractive salary of £23,500 - £23,893 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Caerphilly County Borough Council has an exciting opportunity for two dynamic and confident individuals to become part of the Leisure Attendant Team at Newbridge Leisure Centre.

The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of leisure centre daily life.

Key functions of the role include
• Lifeguarding of a busy swimming pool.
• Off pool activities including hall change overs and equipment set up.
• Completing of cleaning duties and checklists.
• Attendance at monthly staff training sessions.

For the role, we ask that you have:
  • Applicants are required to have an up to date Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding as well as a valid First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Teaching or Coaching qualifications and Customer Service are desirable but not essential.
  • First Aid at Work.

The role is customer facing in a busy leisure environment and all applicants should be flexible with regards to evening and weekend work. A positive 'can do 'attitude is required along with the ability to communicate effectively across a broad spectrum of people.
