The Governing Body of Montgomery CiW School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and committed teacher to join our happy and successful school for two days a week. (Thursday and Friday). The postholder will work in our Year 1 and 2 class.
Montgomery CiW School is a successful school with 111 pupils on role. We pride ourselves on our positive relationships, our sense of family and community spirit. Children here thrive on a rich and balanced new curriculum that embraces the links we have with our local and wider communities. We are proud of our Welsh roots and provide a wealth of opportunities for children to learn about their Welsh heritage, along with learning the Welsh language too.
Nestled in the centre of the historic market town of Montgomery, we embrace our surroundings. With views from the school across to Corndon Hill from the back, and views of Montgomery Castle to the front, we really are in an idyllic location. Our school grounds offer a wealth of learning opportunities too, with a forest school area, a polytunnel for growing vegetables and our very own apple trees to enable us to pick our own fruit.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent classroom practice, a willingness to foster our community links and an excellent understanding of the Curriculum for Wales.
