We are looking for a breakfast club assistant to join our breakfast club team to assist our children in our busy vibrant school.

The Purpose of this Role:-
• To be responsible to the Headteacher for the supervision of pupils during Breakfast Club
• To work with other members of the supervisory team
• To work closely with kitchen staff in establishing effective Breakfast Club routines and maintaining high standards of behaviour.
Expectation and Outcomes of this Role:-
SPECIFIC TASKS

• To understand and comply with Health and Safety regulations
• To take appropriate action on the day-to-day conduct of pupils in accordance with the school behaviour code
• To be responsible for the pupils throughout the Breakfast Club period
• To encourage good eating practices.
• To deal with minor accidents eg food spillage
• To deal sympathetically with children who are unwell
• To administer basic first aid
• To approach visitors entering school premises
• To show empathy and build positive relationships with all pupils
• To perform any other duties falling within the reasonable remit of the post
• To notify teachers and senior management staff should the need arise

Your responsibilities are to:-
MAIN DUTIES

• To understand and comply with the Council’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
• To assist in the dining area and encourage pupils to eat their chosen breakfast
• To engage with pupils and encourage them to communicate with peers and join activities
• To provide a continuous presence during Breakfast Club so as to ensure the safety of pupils and their general conduct in accordance with the school behaviour code
• To complete registers of attendance and other paperwork as required.
• Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to inclusion, child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
