The Governors at Llwynypia Primary School wish to appoint an outstanding and inspirational primary school practitioner to the post of teacher for 1 year.

Llwynypia Primary is a happy and successful Primary School with a strong caring and inclusive ethos situated in the community of Tonypandy. The school currently has 205 pupils on roll split across 7 classes.

We are very excited to be able to offer initially, a 1 year teaching position for Progression Steps 2 & 3, at the school. Our Governors are looking to appoint an innovative, motivated, and excellent practitioner who is ready to take up the challenge and become an integral part of our school community.

The appointed post-holder will be able to nurture and develop their roles within a supportive team of professionals. The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of teaching in KS2.
  • Be an excellent class teacher - inspiring, creative, full of enthusiasm and someone who will make children's learning enjoyable and fun;
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of the primary curriculum and its progression steps;
  • Be highly motivated and eager to take part in the full life of the school;
  • Be caring and put the wellbeing of our pupils first;
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with our parents and carers, members of our Governing Body and our wider community;
  • Be able to effectively use ICT / Digital Learning to enhance children's learning and be fully committed to promoting Welsh 2nd Language.
  • Have an excellent understanding of Curriculum 2022
