We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible and well qualified individual to become a key member of the school team at Maes Ebbw. The role will involve working under the guidance of teaching staff and members of the School Leadership Team in order to support the development of pupils’ physical and sensory skills.

To complement the professional work of the teachers by taking responsibility for learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals or groups, or short term for whole classes, including an element of PPA cover. In addition, you will be required to monitor and assess work, record and report on students’ progress achievement and development. You may also be asked to work in partnership with parents and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings with external professionals.

The successful candidate will be working as part of a team who are responsible for developing pupils’ physical and sensory skills giving advice, support and where applicable training.

Holidays must be taken during school closure periods. The appointment process will involve an interview with members of the school leadership team and a selection of Governors.

THIS POST REQUIRES YOU TO BE REGISTERED WITH THE EWC.

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
