Job Description

Working under the direction of the Tots to teens Supervisor, you will provide support for children with additional learning and medical needs. This will take the form of assisting to provide activities and play-based support for young people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) at our Tots 2 Teens holiday play scheme in Haverfordwest. Workers will assist in the delivery of dynamic, child-centred and play-based sessions in which the needs of each individual are met and positive relationships are developed.

You will need to act as key person for an allocated child or children under the direction of the Team Leader, ensuring their safety and welfare needs are met and that there is a welcoming, safe, enjoyable and stimulating environment. You will supervise play plans that address the individual needs of the child and help develop each child's social and communication skills and ensure that activities are appropriate for each child, taking into account their individual needs and behaviours.

Our aim is provide to provide a high quality ALN holiday play provision during school holidays. We have created a safe caring stimulating environment for children attending the clubs where both supported and peer-led play is encouraged. Through well-chosen activities, we offer our young people the chance to learn, play and build positive relationships that extend beyond the classroom.

We are looking for Playworkers to join us and be part of our amazing team. The role will include contributing to the provision of a safe and stimulating play environment in which children are able to play freely.
